Dr Niraj Thapar

Dr. Niraj, a dedicated physician with an outstanding academic background, has over three decades of experience as a Consultant Paediatrician, specializing in asthma, nutrition, and immunization in children. With a career spanning 33 years, Dr. Niraj has developed technical expertise in counseling on newborn care, infant feeding, growth and development, preventive pediatrics, and managing common emergencies. He completed his medical education at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, earning an MBBS in 1981, a Diploma in Child Health in 1989, and an MD in Pediatric Medicine in 1991.

Dr. Niraj has held several notable positions throughout his career, including Lecturer at CMCH, Ludhiana in 1991, Senior Resident at Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi from 1991 to 1992, and Senior Resident at L.N.J.P. (Irwin Hospital), New Delhi from 1992 to 1993. Since 1994, he has been a prominent figure at Suman Hospital, where he established the Department of Pediatrics in Model Town, Ludhiana. Dr. Niraj is an active member of various professional bodies, including the Indian Medical Association, the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, the Punjab Medical Council, the National Neonatology Forum, and the Adolescent Health Association. His commitment to child health is reflected in his active participation and contributions to these associations.
